Soon after achieving certification as a Great Place to Work® in 2018, Knowledge First Financial was placed on the Best Workplaces TM for Women and Best Workplaces TM in Financial Services and Insurance lists. Now the company joins the ‘best of the best’ by ranking 38th in the top 50 companies with 100-999 employees.
“The last 14 months has been a year of tremendous growth and change for Knowledge First Financial,” said George Hopkinson, President & CEO. “I believe our people, who strive to continuously contribute to the business, all the while creating an award-winning atmosphere and organizational culture, is at the core of our success.”
Individuals from across the company celebrated alongside other Best Workplace TM companies who gathered at the Gala Night to receive the news firsthand. “It’s a delight to be here with so many distinguished organizations,” said Darrell Bartlett, Chief Compliance Officer. “Helping students achieve post-secondary education makes Knowledge First Financial a great place to work everyday. It’s very rewarding to make a difference in the lives of customers and I really enjoy it.”
Knowledge First Financial works hard to foster teamwork towards a common goal by encouraging transparent communications and introducing initiatives to celebrate success.
The 2019 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
